Friday 30 January 2026 Year 6 Science Investigation This term in science, Year 6 investigated the question: What conditions are needed for mould to grow? They carried out a fair test using two slices of bread. One slice was damp, covered in cling film and placed in a cupboard, while the other slice was dry, also covered in cling film and left for the same amount of time. This allowed Year 6 to carefully compare the different conditions.

From learning fascinating facts about the planets to discovering how rockets blast off into the cosmos, our young explorers have been captivated by themysteries of the universe.

Thursday 29 January 2026 Year 1 Become Nature Artists This term in Art, Year 1 have been exploring the work of Andy Goldsworthy. Inspired by his nature art, the children have been getting creative using natural materials such as leaves, sticks and stones. They carefully arranged shapes and patterns outdoors and crafted nature-inspired portraits, learning that art can be temporary and created anywhere. Year 1 loved becoming nature artists and creating beautiful artwork inspired by the world around them.

Monday 19 January 2026 Year 5 Earth & Space Assembly Year 5 delivered an outstanding Earth & Space Assembly, showcasing creativity, confidence, and meaningful learning. The assembly took the form of a humorous “Breaking News” broadcast, where pupils reported on the wonders of Earth and Space while highlighting our responsibility to care for Allah's creation.

Thursday 23 October 2025 Nursery's Autumn 2 News As we come to the end of Autumn 1, we are proud to share that the children are well settled into the new routines and have built strong relationships with their peers and the adults. They are confident to play cooperatively with their peers and are learning to take turns. The children have enjoyed listening to short stories and joined in with repeated phrases. They have enjoyed recognizing their names and have participated in various fine motor skills activities, such as threading, mark-making, and using playdough. The children have also learnt counting objects up to 5 and creating repeating patterns.

Wednesday 22 October 2025 Year 2 Autumn 2 News Year 2 really enjoyed the “Muffin Don't Get Squished!” Road Safety Workshop. We met Muffin the mascot, who helped us learn how to stay safe near roads in a fun and memorable way. The children joined in with songs, actions, and discussions about crossing the road safely, wearing bright clothes, and being aware of traffic. Everyone had a fantastic time while learning important safety rules to help Muffin — and themselves — stay safe and not get squished!

Monday 22 September 2025 Year 5 Explore Islamic Art at the British Museum Today, our Year 5 class had an inspiring visit to the British Museum, exploring the Islamic Art and Civilisation gallery. The children were fascinated by the beautiful artefacts, including intricate calligraphy, ceramics, textiles, and coins, which brought the rich history of Islamic culture to life.
